Eighth Basque Tournament of Interton VC 4000
On Tuesday 22 April 2025, Eusko-Retro Association organized the 8th Basque Tournament of Interton VC 4000. We passed a great afternoon playing Interton. It was the last console we played. Before it we played Commodore Amiga 500, Megadrive, Sega Mega-CD and TRS-80. We played Football, Paddle, Air/Sea Battle, Hunting and Invaders (in the style of Space Invaders). After summer I will try to buy a new game(s) to include them in next year's tournament.
We started playing Football from cartridge #3 as always. For this first we decided to play single matches. David beat Egoitz, Joseba beat Mikel and Lander beat Egoitz again. Then we played Paddle from the same cartridge. Great game. Maybe the first videogame about paddles in history. Here Egoitz won two matches and David another one. The next game was Air/Sea Battle; a good game similar to Hunting but in this game you have to move your ships and and shoot at submarines. After it we played Hunting; a great game where the objective is to shoot the birds and get more points than your rival. We play in pairs. Here Egoitz was the one who won 2 matches. Finally we played Invaders. Most of the players were tired so only Egoitz and Lander played it. If David had participated he would most likely have won the tournament, but he didn't want to play. I have included them in the tournament because they were present and watched the games but decided not to play. In my opinión it is one of the best games of Interton.
It was a nice afternoon and tournament. The next tournament will possibly be in August. Possibly we will play the Tele-Fever console.
